The TL-SG1016D Gigabit Ethernet Switch provides you with a high-performance, low-cost, easy-to-use, seamless and standard upgrade to improve old network to 1000Mbps network. All 16 ports support auto MDI/MDIX, no need to worry about the cable type, simply plug and play. Moreover, with the innovative energy-efficient technology, the TL-SG1016D can save power consumption and 80% of the packaging material can be recycled, making it an eco-friendly solution for your business network.

When a computer or a network device is turned off, the corresponding port of a traditional switch continues to consume considerable amounts of energy. The TL-SG1016D can automatically recognize the status of each port connection and reduce the power consumption of ports that are not active.

Energy savings based on the length of the connecting cable

Ideally, the energy consumption with short cables could be reduced given the lesser expenditure of energy during the short ride to the length of the cable; this is not the case for the majority of devices using the same amount of energy regardless of the length of the cable 10 or 50 meters. The TL-SG1016D parses the length of the Ethernet cable and adjust power usage accordingly.

The auto features of this gigabit switch make installation plug and play and hassle-free. No configuring is required. Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.
